Purchasing & Return Policies

PayPal is the authorized online payment processor for Military Gear HQ.  PayPal has implemented Fraud Protection guidelines.  These safeguards were introduced in August 2000 to increase the confidence of both buyers and sellers in the PayPal payments network.  Military Gear HQ has participated in the new PayPal requirements and has attained the online seal of approval as a "Verified Seller" by PayPal.

When you purchase from Military Gear HQ you shop without sharing your financial information.  When you pay with PayPal, your credit card and bank numbers are never seen by us, the seller or merchant. Your financial information stays safe.  Plus, you're protected 100% against unauthorized payments sent from your account.

For United States customers only:  If you do not wish to make your purchase with your Credit Card and would like to mail in your payment via Money Order or Cashiers Check (no personal checks accepted), print out this Mail In Order Form, fill it out and mail in your order.  Do not send cash.

International customers please refer to our International Orders page for complete details on how to proceed with your purchase from Military Gear HQ.

Military Gear HQ shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, direct, indirect or other damages arising out of the use or operation of any of its products including any claim of a third party. 

Military Gear HQ reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order.


Guidelines For Using PayPal With Military Gear HQ.

To eliminate risk, PayPal has imposed these guidelines for all sellers.  If you do not agree with them, please issue your complaints to PayPal since we believe they are very simple and basic rules.  Since we will abide by these rules set forth by PayPal, they guarantee that Military Gear HQ is always protected against charge backs due to fraud. 

  • We accept payment from only one PayPal account per purchase - We do not accept multiple payments for a single purchase.
  • As of October 30, 2008 Military Gear HQ can now accept PayPal (or Credit Card) payments from 190 countries worldwide (confirmed addresses only).
  • We only accept payments from customers who have a Confirmed Address.  We will not accept Payments From Non-Confirmed Addresses.  We will not ship to any other address than the Confirmed Address listed in the Transaction ID for the sale. Again, WE ONLY SHIP TO THE CONFIRMED ADDRESS (NO EXCEPTIONS), since this is the only way we are protected with PayPal against fraud.  The Confirmed Address is the address in which your credit card statement gets mailed to or is an address that you have verified through PayPal.  So your shipping address must match your credit card billing address or verified address, no exceptions.  PayPal will not allow or process a transaction where the two addresses do not match.  If you want your order shipped to an alternate address this address will have to be verified through PayPal prior to the submission of your order.
  • Any package returned to Military Gear HQ by the shipping carrier as undeliverable, no such person at address or no forwarding address will be subject to the fees outlined in our Return / Cancellations Policy.  We are not responsible for items returned in error by the shipping carrier.
  • If you have problems using PayPal please don't hesitate to give them a call, it's toll free, they will be happy to assist you in figuring out what is wrong and why you can't process the transaction.

All Special Order Merchandise Sales Are Final.

No exchanges, returns or refunds on any Special Order Merchandise.  So please be absolutely sure of your sizing and ask all questions and read item descriptions thoroughly prior to placing your order.  No exceptions.


International Orders.

All duty taxes and/or customs fees are the sole responsibility of you the consumer.  We will NOT falsify customs documents to avoid you paying duty or customs fees on items sent outside the United States.  Military Gear HQ is not responsible for any merchandise that is confiscated or detained by customs due to restrictions in your country.  It is your responsibility to know whether or not the items you purchase are legal in your country.  If customs confiscates your merchandise you will NOT be eligible for any refund unless the merchandise is returned to Military Gear HQ and then any re-shipping fees and fines will be deducted from the purchase amount.  A 50% re-stocking fee will be assessed to the refund on all Special Order or USMC MARPAT merchandise and 20% of all other in stock merchandise if your order is returned as undeliverable or returned to us for any other reason than our mistake in shipping.  Please verify with your customs agent before purchase if you have questions on legality of ownership of desired merchandise.


Warranty.

If your purchase was for any of the Coast Cutlery merchandise, they are warranted for the lifetime of the original purchaser against manufactures defects.  If any such problem should arise contact Coast Cutlery directly at: 2045 SE Ankeny Street, Portland, Oregon 97214. (503) 234-4545 or (800) 426-5858.  They will repair or replace an item at their discretion.  They will not warranty any item which has been subject to abuse or neglect.  Batteries are not included in the warranty. 

Military surplus merchandise carry no warranty, they are sold as is.  You may discover some natural imperfections that add to the historic value.  For instance, a garment size may vary somewhat from our standards because different size scales are used around the world.  Some pieces may have a musty smell from longtime storage.  This is natural and can easily be eliminated by washing or dry cleaning.  You may find markings or writings from a soldier on a garmet that may truely represent a momento of their tour of duty.  Finally, placement and type of emblems or patches may vary from those pictured online.  That's because each garment is truly a one-of-a-kind.  One more thing regarding possible flaws.  Since your purchase is a piece of authentic military issue, some items are up to 50 years old.  Therefore, it's not uncommon to find small fabric flaws such as stains, spots, and discoloration.  This is a natural military trademark, plus it's not uncommon that dye lots may vary.


Shipping & Proof Of Delivery.

Military Gear HQ is required under PayPal's Buyer Protection Program to retain reasonable proof-of-shipping.  To comply, Military Gear HQ ships everything via USPS, UPS or FedEx with delivery confirmation and tracking / delivery times.  Military Gear HQ takes no responsibility for lost packages, wrong deliveries or product damage, loss or stolen articles caused by USPS, UPS or FedEx.

Typically all orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail.  We place a "Delivery Confirmation" or "Signature Confirmation" on all packages to ensure that it is delivered to the hands of the rightful owner / purchaser.  This confirmation provides us with proof that the package was delivered to the intended recipient.

It is the sole responsibility of you the consumer to ensure your PayPal account's "confirmed shipping address" is current and correct.  We cannot change a "Confirmed Address" on any order to re-direct a shipment to an alternative address, this would invalidate our policy agreement with PayPal.


Shipment Damage Claims.

If your package arrives in a damaged condition, YOU, the customer, must file a claim with the delivery courier.  If you notice your package appears to be in poor or damaged condition and you feel that the contents will more than likely be damaged, DO NOT open the package and call the delivery courier and open in the presence of the courier and then file the claim if necessary.  If you have already opened your package and discover the contents damaged make sure that you retain ALL of the original packaging and boxing materials for these items will be required by the delivery courier upon filing of the claim.


Our Return Policy.

In the event that you need to return an item a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA#) is required, give us a telephone call or drop us an email to obtain this Return Merchandise Authorization number.  Make sure you place the RMA# on the outside of the box in large readable print and your returned merchandise is received by us no later than 15 days after receipt of merchandise.  Returned merchandise that is received by us after 15 days of delivery receipt or without a Return Authorization will not be accepted and returned to sender as an "unacceptable late or unauthorized return" or a 20% restocking fee will be assessed on the item amount refund.  No exceptions.

Returned item(s) must be in it's original packaging and in new, unused and unsoiled condition, all tags on clothing must be attached and clothing must not have been washed. (items in plastic clamshell packaging cannot be returned once opened).  Items must not be damaged by the consumer.  If the preceding conditions are not met entirely, the returned item(s) will be returned to sender as an unacceptable return or a 20% re-stocking fee will be assessed and subtracted from the refund amount.  Return shipping charge is the sole responsibility of the purchaser, Military Gear HQ takes no responsibility for this.  You will receive a credit for the item(s) amount towards another purchase or a refund, the choice is yours.  Shipping charges are not refundable.  A re-shipping charge will be added to all exchanges and unacceptable returns, this amount is based upon our standard shipping rates, you will be sent a PayPal invoice for this amount if necessary. 

Returned items must be shipped postage/freight prepaid.  Military Gear HQ is not responsible for items lost in transit, so please use an appropriate shipping courier that provides tracking and/or insurance.  Please include a copy of your invoice and a note explaining why you are returning the item(s).

No Returns, Exchanges, Refunds or Cancellations on all Special Order merchandise.  That is why we ask that you absolutely know your sizing and know what you are purchasing before you finalize your order.  If you have any questions what so ever, please email or telephone us prior to placing an order for Special Order merchandise.

In the event any package is returned to Military Gear HQ as undeliverable to the address that was supplied to us when the order was placed, a $5.00 handling fee will be assessed plus the cost to re-ship the package back to a Confirmed Address.  You will receive an invoice for the $5.00 handling fee plus the re-shipping cost which is to be paid via PayPal (re-shipping rates are based upon our merchandise value standard shipping rates.  We will not ship to any other address than the Confirmed Address, so please make sure when the re-ship fee/handling fee is submitted that a current, correct and Confirmed Address is provided.  If you do not reply to our notification or we can't get in touch with you that your package was returned as undeliverable or refused within 7 days we will credit your PayPal account in the amount of the original transaction minus 20% minus the initial shipping charge (this does not apply to Special Order merchandise, see above).  If a package or order is returned twice to Military Gear HQ as undeliverable there will be no attempt to re-ship your order again, the only notification of this event to you, the customer, will be the refund which will be in the amount of your orders merchandise cost minus a 20% re-stocking fee (this re-stocking fee percentage rate does not apply to Special Order merchandise, see above).  These guidelines have been set forth due to costs incurred in preparing an order for shipment, the shipping amount incurred to ship your package to you and simply because we cannot afford to ship an order and have it returned with no intention of making the necessary arrangements to take possession of your purchase.  Time is money and ours is not to be wasted on those who do not wish to follow simple guidelines.

There may be times when UPS, USPS or FedEx may have to trace a package (although very rare, it may happen), please allow time for the package to be traced.  Military Gear HQ is not responsible for the extra time this may take. Claims for all packages damaged in transit must be made through the carrier by the buyer!

Ship returned items to the address as it appears on your invoice and insure the package for the actual value.

All of the USMC MARPAT MCCUU uniforms, woodland or desert, trousers and blouses are Special Order.
All Special Orders will have at least a 4 week lead time before shipping occurs.  On occasion it may take longer than 5 weeks to ship your items, so please be patient.  You will receive and email confirmation of shipping from PayPal the day your order is scheduled to ship.
Your credit card or PayPal account will be billed upon order placement.
We are able to acquire these Official USMC Issue MARPAT uniforms from the U.S. Government Contracted manufacturers when ever they do a production run for the U.S. Marines.  However, the length of time from one production run to the next varies.  We are usually able to acquire them within 4 weeks, but that is not carved in stone, it may take longer, sometimes we are only able to get certain sizes and patterns when there is production run.  So as you can see, we just can not simply purchase all sizes and patterns of these uniforms wholesale at any given time and turn around and offer them for retail sale as a stocking inventory item, that is why they are considered Special Order merchandise.
Special Orders cannot be cancelled, refunded or exchanged.  All Special Order sales are final.
If any shipment that contains Special Order merchandise is returned to Military Gear HQ as “Undeliverable” by the shipping carrier, a PayPal invoice will be sent that contains a “Re-Ship/Handling/Service Fee” to cover the associated costs of re-shipping the order.  If this amount is not received by Military Gear HQ in 7 days a 50% restocking fee will be assessed on the value of the entire order merchandise value. (NO EXCEPTIONS).
MAKE SURE OF YOUR SIZE SELECTIONS BEFORE YOU FINALIZE YOUR SPECIAL ORDER, THEY CANNOT BE CHANGED OR CANCELLED ONCE YOU COMPLETE YOUR ORDER.
Once all your Special Ordered item(s) arrive your entire order will ship.  We do not ship partial orders that contain mixed Special Order and in-stock merchandise.  Everything is shipped in one package once all items are acquired.
